Elinor Wrote:Ah, you must be nicer than me. I'd be very tempted to have the college graduation party anyway, if only because all my peers were still sophomores! Nah, not nicer. My plan was to have a graduation party at the same time everybody has their, but for my MA instead of my BA.:roflol:
Elinor Wrote:Me? I'm dreaming of medium rare steaks, fresh rolls, and hot Krispy Kremes! The next day, because I really don't want a coma no matter how badly I want the sugar, I see Marble Slab. Finally, I want to get myself a nice camera, but I don't know if I'll have any money left. :ack: Once the party's over, I have to figure out how to get back into normal life after taking 2 years off. AND I've got a long list of non-school-related things I want to learn how to do. Sounds like a good plan to me. Yeah, it's gonna be weird not studying for random tests anymore. Even if I go straight on to the Masters program, it's still going to feel weird in-between. I took one week off for Christmas break and didn't know what to do all week during Christmas time! Then I got right back to studying like two days after Christmas. I should definitely read some books, though. It's been a long time since I read a book for fun....
Elinor Wrote:Okay, dreaming is definitely detrimental to study; I gotta get back to work. Good luck with your cc courses and upcoming tests. Vietnam wasn't too bad aside from the impossible names. Perhaps, though I feel sort of rejuvenated now. Thanks. Ugh, I hate names.

Perhaps, though I feel sort of rejuvenated now. Thanks. Ugh, I hate names. You dirty rotten plan-stealer, you!!! I just plan to go to a nice dinner at Red Lobster with fam and friends for my BA, but for my masters there will be a large celebration :hurray: Not sure if it will be in the same yr that fellow classmates will be graduating, but regardless...
I'm pretty sure I will be taking at least a summer off before my masters, if not a full year. I'm not even thinking seriously about grad yet, that will be my treat for my last semester of my BA (although I have been eying an MA in Psychology from APU, for a stay-at-home option, and I'm pretty much sold on die Freie Universistät for an abroad grad school)
Dude I will be SO excited to lounge around the house for a whole day and read a nice solid piece of fluff

My family forced a 2 month break on me back in Oct-Nov while we were moving (Go figure, they wanted my help!). I nearly went crazy; I had to use the time to refine my testing path. Then they again had me take time off during Thanksgiving and again at Christmas (<sarcasm>Can you believe they actually wanted to see me some?!</sarcasm>). I'm 'bout determined not to take any more time off before graduation.

Seriously. I've got a TON of books I actually want to read, and that list doesn't include books about the Soviet Union or Modern Middle East. It'll be so nice to delve into some classics and favorites again!

Huh. I've never thought of going abroad for my masters. I'm probably not gonna take the summer off. It'd be nice though... Tuition rates are niiiiice in Europe [: I have pretty much sold my soul to my horse, though, so I'm not sure if I could leave him behind for two whole school years :leaving:
You guys are nuts, I take my breaks and run with them!!!! When I was testing I just didn't take any breaks, though... I was studying for my next test during Christmas time... :nopity:
Ahhh how can you not even be taking a summer off :willynilly:

That way I can take summer off while I have my masters. So it's like taking it off two years from now. Although I'll probably just get to whatever I'm doing next during the summer, but that saves me one summer of work when I retire.....it keeps getting pushed back.

We are already a bajillion months ahead of the game. I plan to enjoy this for a little while... I think when I'm 80 I will be happier about backpacking around Europe or taking a road trip around the US when I'm 19 or 20 than about having another 3 mo. of retirement when I have kids and possibly grandkids and all the time in the world to "get old" (which, incidentally, I never plan to do milelol
