Now the waiting.........

I took English Comp w/ Essay last week (I think I passed) and this will be my next CLEP.
I started studying the REA book and "Cracking the CLEP" a few days ago. I'm in the process of reading "Don't Know Much About History". Believe it or not, my local library doesn't have any available books on general sociology, mostly just sub-genres. I'm curious as to how relevant the IC flash cards are for this exam, especially when it comes to the sociology portion. I started using the flash cards today, and I have memorized the first 51 questions of the sociology portion. Should I study it a bit more in depth. Or will that first 51 questions be sufficient? I would appreciate any input.

Hope the results are nothing but excellent. (You've probably already read my post saying it took a bit over two weeks.)

Even if it doesn't belong in the Exam Feedback Section, it surely doesn't belong here either. My questions were regarding the Social Science CLEP.

Terrible!..lol. I am not a good essay writer, but I studied the multiple choice part as much as I could(which on the clep was tougher than I was expecting) and I tried to focus on the intro, body, conclusion stuff. I tried to jot down some notes but was drawing a blank. I definitely found myself scrambling for time on both sections.

Writing an essay for a CLEP or SAT test is a most unnatural (and unhealthy) thing to do!
![]() You have extreme time constraints, no ability to do any research, no ability to corroborate your information, no ability to choose your topic, etc. No good writer writes this way! For my English Comp CLEP test, I had the most ABSURD essay topic, but I humored the deranged test writer and did the best I could given the situation. I was very happy with my score. You just have to know what makes the essay graders happy. ![]() Anyway, I wish you the best, and I know how you feel!
