Retrieving CLEP scores/Vent!!

I take my final final next week, and that 's it, all requirements fulfilled, I'll have done it...however, the celebratory feeling is being marred by the fact that my school has bungled up retrieving my CLEP scores from it's statewide system, and half of them are still not showing up on my transcript as of yesterday. I entered the correct code on every CLEP test I took, and it should have been a simple thing. I took my last CLEP in AUGUST!!!

Apparently the credentials analyst was on leave, and other people filled in, and inadvertently entered things wrong, or missed entering credits...

ACK!!

My registrar is working on it now, but it is so frustrating. I am so afraid that something will be missing, or there will be yet another glitch in seeing all of the 45 credits that I tested out of since last March.

If they get it straightened out, I should have my letter for me (and my employer) stating I have fulfilled all requirements within 10 days, but it depends on these scores and they're "working on it"...

Has anyone else experienced this with a B & M school or otherwise?

I do- I have all my official print outs. I photocopied them and sent them to my registrar, so she is using those to figure out what to retrieve, or find in the system.

When I talked to my advisor, (my 3rd since I started) he seemed really clueless, saying things like well it looks like we can't take the Am Gov score...(It was my lowest, 57, but all IU needs is a 50). That one is being corrected according to my registrar, but it was like he said all this discouraging stuff without even understanding how CBE works!!

My husband says maybe they're just not used to that many scores coming through, that fast...thanks IC.

I just hope all the pieces fall in place very very soon. I am very discouraged at the moment, waiting for them to sort it out. I don't see what's so hard about it all...

I had this vision of taking my last exam next week, and feeling so good about being finished, but at the moment it feels very open ended, ambiguous.

Try not to let yourself get too discouraged Mary,

Everything's going to work itself out just fine in the end. You'll see! This is just one of those glitches life throws at us to keep us on our toes.

You did your research, you planned it all out, you did the studying, you did the hard work, you passed the exams, you have the paperwork....you're just waiting for your school to get its act together now.

As you said yourself, it's not every day that somebody achieves all that you have achieved in such a short time-frame and in such quick succession. Round about now, your advisor is probably banging his head against his desk and robotically repeating, "cannot compute....cannot compute....cannot compute!" over and over again.

Everything will be fine, you have just temporarily short-circuited your school's ability to handle your astounding success. Give them time to catch up with you!

Thank you all for traveling on this journey with me, through my obsessive worrying, and anxieties and vents!

I may be able to take my final this afternoon, if the DHL delivery gets it to my proctor. Studying at the moment...

I have met the most amazing people on this board, and everyone here amazes me with their "gumption", their peserverence and creativity.

I'll keep you posted on how the exam goes.
