Routes for this?

Hey everybody! I'm currently a Freshman at GPC in Dunwoody, Georgia, and I'm trying to get all my cores done with as quickly as possible. However, my dad is insistent on me getting a 4.0 throughout college. I was wondering the best way to get through this? I was thinking CLEPs/Transient Student through GVTC/DSSTs, but I'm not sure what the grading system would be so I still maintain a 4.0. Below is a list of the classes I need to finish all my cores, can anybody recommend a possible route? (I play on going to SPSU to major in Computer Information Systems) Idk which DSST/CLEP is hard/easy or whether I need certain grades on each to maintain a 4.0 GPA or if DSST's are accepted.

My suggestion is you talk with your school and find out which CLEP / DSST your school will accept and which ones will be accepted in place of the courses you listed. Each school has their own policy so it is impossible for us to know which exams will translate and be accepted for these classes.

I forgot to make an edit actually, I found the CLEP list, but I'm having a hard time for the DSST anywhere actually. I'm guessing then that they do not accept DSST's at all. Is there another means for me to take DSST's at other colleges and transfer them?

You do not get a grade for CLEP/DSST so it would depend on your school how or if they would affect your GPA. TESC has a credit banking system so that might work, but ask someone at your school sometimes there is not a written policy just an unwritten one. TESC took my ECE exam, but they had no written policy and I had to appeal the level of credit they assigned.

Well after spending two hours going back and forth through campus, I found out that they accept DSST's, but they didn't know about the GPA thing. I also found out that I can't do transient until I have more credit hours.

Looks like I'll have to CLEP/DSST the rest.

Be sure to find out the maximum number of credits that you are allowed through exams. It is often only about 30 for a 4 year degree.

At most schools, CLEP and DSST are pass/fail only and do not affect GPA at all.

I can do a max of 21 at Georgia Perimeter, and unlimited at Southern Polytechnic State University. (I also already used three for AP MicroEconomics)

If you can use ACE approved courses you can get P/F grades that will not contribute to your GPA and therefore limit the number of classes you will have to ace to get that 4.0.

NFA, straighterline, and ALEKS come to mind first. You will have to have a chat with your school about acceptance, but if it flies you could have over a year of non-gpa credit lower level credit. The other upside is that the total cost of this year of school could be under $300 or $400. These options are also great for things you are uncomfortable testing out of, or if your school calculates a grade from test scores.

I got a new plan setup.

SPSU takes unlimited CLEP/DSST scores, while GPC only takes 21 max, so I was wondering if I can take four of those exams, and not have to worry about sending the credit until I transfer?
