With inflation as high as it is, I have to assume tuition rates will be going up for many colleges.
Another reason to start as soon as you can.

Ideally you would only get $250 off by finishing in one term. I actually delayed my start for several months to make sure I transferred in all the right courses. I transferred in 63 CUs on April 1st, and I have one course left. If I had the choice between an extra $250 and an extra few months to make sure I was ready to finish in a single term, I would go for the extra time.

Once you start at WGU, you're essentially locking in your transfers. There are some loopholes, but you don't want to rely on them. It's always a judgment call with WGU on how much to transfer in and how much to take at WGU. Personally, I'm happy to be wrapping up in two months, but some people start from zero and finish the whole degree in six months.

If you have all you need to transfer, this would be a great option to save that $250. But I agree, if you still have a few courses to transfer over, I'd recommend taking your time to complete those for transfer and then complete as much as you can within the term. If you know you need two terms, then yeah, applying will save you $250 each term for a max of $500!

Congrats to getting that award! WGU is a good school, hopefully they randomly keep this up with the "Start New Vouchers" and help many more students with their education!

  Me too
But whether it's $250 or $500, I would have been happy. I'm happier knowing it's $500!
