Shmoop has many lit courses, but not a lot else. They have at least 3 history and some math.

Shmoop also has some convoluted questions that can be frustrating.

Between December 19th and January 3rd I passed a dozen courses with Shmoop, and satisfied all the upper level requirements for the BALS-Humanities in the process, all for less than $90.

I pretty much hated every minute of it, though.
TESU BALS Humanities, thanks to this place!

The "catch" is that the exams are very frustrating and you can waste a lot time not passing a course, even if you've read all the material/know the material. But it's cheap, self-paced and unproctored. You earn every credit and are glad when it's over.

And I say this as someone who loves literature.

Yes there's a reason why nobody runs to do these course and be happy about it.
I knew my subjects inside and out as I used to teach them... and still had trouble passing some of their courses. It was beyond maddening!

One of these days, I'm going to actually peruse their offerings for credit-bearing purposes, rather than just talking about the potential. I just need two weeks of downtime...

Is the $88/month for unlimited ACE credits? If so, I'm curious to know if anyone has attempted several classes in a single month. @Notgodot, it looks like you've done this. How realistic a goal is it?

Also... Does anyone have an opinion on the Bible as Lit & History II courses? I'm trying to find some "easy-ish" courses to fulfill general ed/ electives. Thanks for the input!
