Yes, the travel bug has hit me again (as always)... I was off for a month from Sept 24 to Oct 24 and just got back to the forums! Looking forward to another vacation later in the year for Winter Break or next year for Spring Break (2 weeks only this time instead of a month).

I've been dying to go check out Crater Lake Lodge in Oregon! It is such a beautiful place and a great getaway destination that sits around a caldera in Crater Lake National Park. We plan on having our honeymoon there at some point

Winter is a good time to travel somewhere warm. Spring’s great for sightseeing and enjoying mild weather before the crowds hit!

I hear you, but to me it's worth it to get away from winter for a while.

For Winter Break, it's cold in the Pacific Northwest, thus, I'd like to get out of the cold and into a warmer location.
For Spring Break, that's when my nasal allergies hit, thus, I'd get at least a couple of weeks of nasal jail freedom!

If you're in Western Washington, then for Winter Break there are reasonable priced nonstop flights from SEA to HNL (O'ahu), LIH (Kaua'i) or KOA (Big Island). Aloha!

I go to Thailand every winter.
Mexico is a good option.
I lived in Hawaii...way too overpriced. I am from your area too.

It's not a bargain, true. But it is an easy flight from the West Coast, and the time difference that you still have the day of arrival to enjoy things.
Where did you live? My wife used to live on O'ahu and loved it.
