Sophia - New Business Ethics Course

Business Ethics has 2 Touchstones and 4 Milestones + Final Milestone. The Touchstones look not too difficult. At a glance, the first one will probably take most students 1-2 days to complete. The second one looks a little more involved and might take 3-4 days to tweak.

If you have a current Sophia membership, it's probably worth trying.

I just finished 9 last month at Sophia but I think it's worth another month for American Gov and Business Ethics. I'm probably going to try it out this weekend, and I'll report back!

Upon checking the UMPI Transfer Database, it looks like Sophia's Business Ethics transfers to UMPI as BUS 353 Legal and Ethical Issues in Business as well. I still feel like the Saylor course is superior if you don't have an active Sophia membership and/or dislike touchstone and prefer exams only. Regardless, it's nice to have less expensive paths for BUS 353 equivalency other than Study.com.

It's wild that someone already completed it and transferred it to UMPI and that the database is already updated! That was super quick! BUS353 isn't a difficult course. It's a 5-7 page paper for the Final Assessment so depending on what the Touchstones are like, it might be faster at UMPI.

For Sophia, the first Touchstone involves evaluating the code of ethics of a specific company (you are given a list and MUST choose a company from that list). The second Touchstone involves creating a personal code of ethics that mirrors the kind of ethics that a business might use. This doesn't look especially difficult, but the wording might make it tricky for some people.

Finished Touchstone 2 a week or so ago, took me exactly 25 minutes from first opening to submiting it.
I don't know the rating since my membership ended but I did receive a badge from Credly
