Starting Capstone Soon!
#1
Big thanks to this forum for helping me choose a college to finish my degree fast! I’m officially starting my capstone with Excelsior on May 5th!

I finished both the Information Literacy and Cornerstone courses with above 97. Information Literacy was a great intro to learning how to use all the resources Excelsior offers. Each week had one discussion post, two replies across different days, required readings, and a quiz. It’s set up as an 8-week course, but I was able to finish by week 7 since the final exam is open book and flexible.

The Cornerstone course was pretty easy as well. As long as you follow the rubric closely, you’ll be good. The setup is similar to Information Literacy but with a short assignment due each week. Each assignment helps you build your final paper, which is due in week 7.

Drum roll... Congrats on getting to the capstone! A few more days and it'll be the start of the final class... This should be twice as hard compared to what the info lit and cornerstone is comprised of, if not more... Go through the class at your pace and follow through with the assignment deadlines, you've got this!

This is quite exciting! I haven't seen many posts recently on those completing a degree through Excelsior. If you don't mind me asking, how many credits did you transfer in? How has your experience been thus far?

Wow!   113 credits!  I'm currently taking courses through Study.com and was told that the max to transfer in to Excelsior is 104 credits (for the Liberal Arts degree).  Do you mind sharing more information (what courses, etc.) that you were able to transfer in?  Thanks in advance!
