I saw in an email that Straighterline is offering Spanish classes now. I guess I could have shared that with everyone here, but I was distracted by my anger over them not offering Chemistry II or Biology II. I mean they offer Physics II.

Chemistry and Biology can be completed through CLEP while Physics doesn't have that option.
I believe they will eventually offer Chemistry II and Biology II with labs, but I can see why Physics and Spanish have come first.

There is a Spanish CLEP as well. My advice is to use CLEP or DSST, then TECEP, then ECE, then Straighterline, ALEKS, and finally Penn Foster for credit.
As long as there is a Spanish CLEP, most people should try for that. I understand the reasons for not doing it including test anxiety but it should be your first choice.

You get more credits for the Spanish CLEP. Many schools award 12 credits if you score above a 60-something. There is also a Uexcel for Spanish and a couple of language tests given by governments that are ACE-evaluated. There is a Uexcel for physics that is worth 6 credits and there are also various AP exams.

Yes, but there aren't a lot of places to learn Spanish.
Best place I've found is SpanishHour.com which is still free through Facebook.
Unfortunately SpanishMooc.com just started charging $99 for their courses.

I definitely agree with this especially after looking at how much StraighterLine is charging per course... CRAZY expensive!
My community college Spanish courses cost less than StraighterLine.
