Study English 305-Excelsior
#1
It LOOKS to me like this UL Technical writing course should satisfy and replace English Comp 2 at Excelsior.   Anyone have any experience or insight?
(EC won't tell you anything until you are enrolled and working with an advisor)

Looks like it comes in as an UL English elective. Typically, electives don't override the required courses.

That's where I'm confused.  On the transfer list it states:  Written English - as does Comp 1 and Comp 2.

Why not just take Comp 2?

The Sophia transfer guide isn't much more helpful. They also have English Comp II.

UPDATE:

Confirmed that Study  English 305 will NOT fulfill the English Comp 2 requirement
Also, Study Comp 1 AND Comp 2 TOGETHER are required to fulfill the FIRST written English requirement at EC

So that leaves a RA college or a TECEP or Sophia Comp 2 to fulfill the second written English requirement

We finished Eng. Comp 1 at Sophia and did NOT enjoy it.   The class itself is fine.  Got some good feedback but also got some horrible graders that picked a paper apart like they were grading an Advanced course. Not good consistency with graders. Also, it is a TON of writing with all the additional Thinking Questions plus papers. BUT, here we are. Bring it Sophia English Comp 2!! lol
At least it's free!

I have to take English Comp II for CSU Global even though I took it in college years ago. I took it as an honors course and they won't give me English credit for it....grrr.. So now I have to take it through StraighterLine or CSU which is $1050. Not a hard choice where to take it! They don't accept the course form Sophia. I'm not exactly thrilled to write more papers considering we have to write a paper every week in each course at CSU.

What about ASU for Eng. Comp? Eng. Comp II starts in about a week, IIRC.
