These are excellent posts with feedback, thank you for sharing!
I am just getting started, so a newbie here, I signed up for the Study materials, however; I am having a hard time manuevering to find them. Thoughts? I see that there are a lot of recommendation to take the Peterson exams as part of the prep for the CLEP. Do the Peterson Exams come with actual study materials? What books are the majority of you using? Or are their online guides that I am to obtain off this site somewhere?
Thanks in advance for your help as I want to be fully prepared for this exam and pass with flying colors 1st attempt.

Petersons are online. Here is where I get them. http://www.nelnetsolutions.com/terc/ Sometimes this doesn't work so I go through this website Welcome to the Mansfield/ Richland County Public Library - Mansfield / Richland County Public Library (you have to have a library card number)
What books are the majority of you using?
I use REA books and I have seen a lot of people use Cliffnotes among others. There is also the CLEP Official Study Guide
Or are their online guides that I am to obtain off this site somewhere?
Try going to Collegeboard.com and search CLEP online guides and see what comes up
Thanks in advance for your help as I want to be fully prepared for this exam and pass with flying colors 1st attempt.
Hope this is helpful. I am still pretty new at this myself, but this what I've learned and are some of my suggestions.

:iagree: I agree w/ horsemaniac. I used REA for several tests. Most of them are passable w/ flashcards and specific exam feedback alone. The above link to petersons didn't work for me. It may be my computer but here's another one w/ instructions just in case: Free Practice Clep Tests!. I would check out the other stuff on that website too. It's pretty helpful.

Thanks rmroberts for that link for the practice tests. I know about that link to Petersons. The first time I tried it worked, but after that I couldn't get it to work so I have just been using the link through the library. I have your link bookmarked for future use!:hurray:
