As my first attempt at a Saylor course I decided to try my hand at
POLSC221: Introduction to Comparative Politics. Readings thus far are, um...
eclectic. What is the actual proctored test like, specifically...
- How closely related to the final are the quiz questions?
- Are the questions on the proctored exam all multiple choice or are there any essay questions as well?
- How do I know when I'm ready to take the test?
Any general advice for speeding along the exam-cram process for Salyor courses would be most welcome. Also, I keep hearing mostly positive rumblings (with the occasional detractor) about Course Hero. Is that resource useful for Saylor courses or no?

I'm wondering if you and I have chatted via email? I can never seem to figure out people's real names and match them to screen names, but if it WASNT you, I can tell you that other people find this course a disaster as well.
If you need this specific course, there is a TECEP as well as an AP exam (TECEP would be easier) but you can find a lot of study material if you look for AP exam study content.

I completed Saylor’s comparative politics, and I wouldn’t say it was very tough. But yes, some questions were tricky. You should be more concerned about preparing for the exam with the study material they offer. It is voluminous and time consuming! But if you have done it already, you would not need to worry about the proctored exam.
