Study.com has a few plans, most people use the Premium option for Test Prep, if you're using Study.com for ACE credits, then the College Accelerator is the one you need to get the credits.  I suggest Premium option first to get the hang of things and only upgrade when you need the ACE credit.  https://study.com/academy/plans.html

I'd give advice in the opposite direction because of the coupon codes.  I'd just say start off when you know you have a chunk of time to dedicate (maybe you have a few weekends in a row where you know you have nothing going on, or a long holiday weekend).  Coupon codes seem to be for new customers only.  You want to jump in and get that 30% off.  Honestly SDC seems pretty easy so far.  I'm not sure about for every major, but for CS its pretty basic.  Only one actually hard class so far, and even that was only like 2 chapters that were hard.  I started that course when I had a week off - so over the course of 9 days I knocked that out, plus another very easy course (7 days for the hard, 2 days for the easy).  I'd research some easy classes to dip your toe in, or maybe use one of the other providers to knock out other classes before starting SDC if you've not taken anything yet.  But once you start, get that coupon!
