No unfortunately I missed the free Sophia courses. I have straighterline. I have finished CSM Learn, all of the TEEX cyber courses & a few of the Forensics/Criminal Justice ones as well. I have some CC credits with ethics, sociology, macroeconomics, english, & a few electives.

Sophia's only $79/mo now. If you still need any general eds (aside from American Government), it is BY FAR the cheapest way to get them. MUCH, MUCH cheaper than SDC.

You may want to get your hands on a Sophia.org membership to get all your general education/electives done, I usually recommend Study.com for Upper Level and AOS courses, nothing else.... Sophia.org update https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid324515

Ok, thank you both! I didnt know. I will definitely go the Sophia route after I finish this SL course. I was doing LL with SL & rushing to do my UL with SDC because I read on one of the threads that some of them might be expiring or not accepted by TESU next year.

Also, aside from my security+ cert I don't have a super tech background and I've researched each course to see the reviews on here but I dont see where or if there are any prerequisites. Is there any particular order that I should take the UL AOS courses?

Intro to Programming
Programming in Python
Programming in Java
Data Structures
Calculus
Systems Analysis & Design
Database Management
Digital Marketing & Advertising
Operating Systems
Discrete Math
Computer Architecture
Management Information Systems (some threads have said it was pretty hard so I put it at the end)

Linear Algebra (Coopersmith)

Personally, I would leave calculus until last or almost last. You can get Calculus from lots of places, including SL, so I'm not sure that I'd take it so early.

I would suggest doing 2 UL courses (with assignments) + 3 LL courses (without assignments or with minimal assignments). What I did last month was: Python, Systems Analysis & Design, DB Management, Intro to Operating Systems, MIS. I still need to finish the assignments for MIS and Systems Analysis. Since you don't have programming, I would probably swap out Operating Systems with Intro to Programming.

Ok, got it. Thank you. Putting Calculus more toward the end is great because it gives me time to brush up on it with the free math sites.

I am working towards my ASNSM and possible BALS,
but for the BSBA and BS CS, what type of capstone comes with it? A business one or APS-401 Current trends and applications?

I don't know. I have been busy researching the best Gen Ed & AOS. I haven't delved into what type of Capstone they each come with yet because I havent applied to TESU to lock in a year yet; therefore, I dont know if the criteria may or may not change by the time I'm ready to take them.

I felt the information about them on the wiki was sufficient enough until then:

"Business Capstone:
Must be taken at TESU."

"Liberal Arts Capstone:
Must be taken at TESU. There is an alternative 6-credit capstone available that provides hands-on experience."

The business capstone is BUS-421. https://www2.tesu.edu/course.php?CourseCode=BUS-421&sem=

Is there any way to just take 1 or 2 courses at STUDY.com and pay for them individually rather than getting the $200 a month plan

Also if anyone knows - I just applied at TESU, the counselor mentioned to sign up for a class for January. I asked if I could maybe take 1 class at TESU and still take other classes at STUDY. com etc, and then tranfer them in, she said no problem, but I wonder if I have it backwards and I should first try to get as many outside credits and the start with TESU.
