For CLEP, I highly recommend the REA books. You can find them on amazon.com or at your local bookstore.
Also buy the college board offiical guide. It contains 60 question practice tests for each exam. If you can't find a book for an exam, you can try getting the AP book for the same title. I used AP Human Geography to study for the DSST Human Cultural Geography.

If you have signed up for the IC Flashcard site it also gives you access to the Specific Feedback forum on this board. Go there and do a quick search for the test you are looking to take and read the thread about what others have used to pass those specific tests.
Using everyone's advice I've passed three 6 credit cleps in the past two months. I give my self a quota of 6 credits a month, so a full 30ish days of study has been more than enough for me. I'm now switching to some 3 credit cleps and I'm going to try and take one of those every two weeks. This is just how I do it, It MAY not work for you, but most likely it will. DB

I thank you all for your advice. I have found a great way to make the flash cards into a study guide. I have also ordered some books from Amazon. Are the questions on the test, fill in the blank or multi choice, and how long do you have to complete each test.
Thank You

They are multiple choice. Get the official clep guide for the closest thing you can get to the clep test format. REA books are a close second.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record... :iagree: Best $12.67 you'll spend on your education! ![]() Just be aware it is NOT a study guide, it's just a 60-question sample test for every single CLEP test available. ryoder Wrote:REA books are a close second. REA generally gets good press, but it seems to depend on the test as to which brand study guide is "best", which obviously depends on the person as well. Just be careful with the Peterson's, they are notoriously difficult compared to the actual CLEP/DSST exams, so don't let it bum you out too much. Use them to "overprepare". As Shoto says, "Pass a Peterson's = Conquer a CLEP" Definitely mine the Specific Feedback forum for each test you plan to take. You'll find tons more of this kind of info in there.
