Hello all,
I just started studying for the Strategic Management TECEP this week (FOUR tests until graduation YIPEE). I'm wondering if you have any tips/notes you are willing to share? I purchased the Crafting and Executing Strategy textbook by, Arthur A. Thompson and I have been running through the instantcert questions. Is this enough? Is there something more I should do?
Thanks!!

I used the instantcert questions to test myself on the textbook info after I studied the chapters. If you've taken TECEPs before you know they are list heavy and the Strategy text book is chock full of lists. But the answers are right out of the book. This is the only test that took me almost the full time to finish. I say do 2 passes through the book, first studying the chapters and then a review. Don't worry about the case studies for the test.

Okay thank you for the tips! I will focus on committing the lists to memory and run through the book twice.

You might want to check out this thread,
http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...-last.html. Ryoder used to post a lot. He's bright, so keep that in mind when considering how to study.
Good luck.

If you feel like you can also go through the free & open source resources listed by TESC for the Strategic Management TECEP exam:
Saylor.org’s Strategic Management
MIT OCW Strategic Management Lecture Notes
Flatworld Knowledge’s Business Strategy
Flatworld Knowledge’s Strategic Management: Evaluation and Execution
The book should be enough for the preparation but if you need a different intrepretation or clarification on some concepts these resources can come in handy!
Actually these resources were prepared specifically by TESC for those students using free materials to prepare for their TECEP exams
