That's a theme with a lot of the distance learning programs. If you aren't committed to powering through quickly, you can waste a lot of money on recurring membership or per term fees. WGU is highly thought of here, but if you actually take 4 years to do a bachelor's with them, it is no longer inexpensive at all.

I feel you on that. I see people powering through their degrees a lot faster, but it's not a race. Everything you do adds up to the degree, so keep chipping away and try not to get discouraged. I felt a little depressed that I wasn't able to get through 6 classes on the Guardian Scholarship at Study.com, but once I stopped to think about it, I still am ending up with free credits that get me closer to graduating. That's still a win.

If it cheers you up any, I'm also finding that I'm able to get things done a little faster now that I've figured out what works for me and how to get the work done effectively. Keep at it!

I work two jobs and have been plugging away at this for two years - I'm finally almost done (like by the end of 2017, which is 'almost' in my world!). Just stick with it and be smart about memberships ---I signed up with SL this month because I know I have a lot more free time for about 30 days and I've known this 'down time' was coming for about a year so I waited. I also took a week off work during this month JUST to get as much done with SL as I could.

just be strategic about it and you'll be surprised at how quickly things move. ---even though it's taken me far longer than most people I also know there is NO WAY I could have done a normal university program. so it's STILL faster than it would have been if I'd done a traditional program.
