Hello there! Thank you all for all your helpful posts! I'm so excited to be finally completing my degree! I've searched the forums (for DAYS!) and can't seem to find a recent answer to this question.
I want to earn a BA in Psychology at TESC. I already have about 80 something credits and need to take a couple cleps and then complete my last 30 credits.. mostly the psychology electives (24 credits). I saw they aren't offering as many Tceps anymore and I was wondering how to get all those credits. Also, from what I see, the best way to satisfy the Experimental Psychology req is to take a test the Excelsior. Is that correct?
Thanks so much in advance for any help!

I'm not familiar with the requirements of TESC's psych major, but EC does offer a number of ECE examines that cover a few upper level courses in psychology. The tests are worth 3 credits each, and cost $250.
There are tests for
Research Methods in Psychology - Which other posters have verified as fulfilling the experimental psych requirement
Abnormal Psychology
Psychology of Adulthood & Aging
& Social Pyschology
Other options of credit include Ohio University's Exams, and courses through BYU & University of Idaho.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully

Thank you so much for such a detailed response! Wish there was a less expensive way to do it, but that looks good. Actually though, the more I look at it, I wonder if I'd just be better off getting a liberal arts degree. That way I could just take the cleps and be done.. humm.. decisions decisions...

I am testing out of all of my psych electives using the following:
Intro to Counseling DSST
Organizational Behavior DSST
Human Growth and Development CLEP
Intro to Educational Psychology CLEP
Substance Abuse DSST
Social Psychology ECE
Psychology of Adulthood and Aging ECE
Abnormal Psychology ECE
TESC has already approved this.
I did use the ECE for research methods too.

Awesome about the Substance Abuse one.. For whatever reason, it never occurred to me that substance abuse would count. haha I think I am reallly overthinking this whole thing actually. Think I will do the same plan as you. Thank you very much!

Yeah substance abuse is actually sociology, so I wasn't sure if they would let me use it or not, but they did. That looked alot better to me than gerontology. :ack:
