When I was researching AU-ABC program, I think TESC only had a BSAST mapped out, but that doesn't really matter because TESC is so extremely military friendly to begin with.

I thought someone had said the personal finance DSST was easy, and the principles of finance was hard. I took the latter and it is not an exam you can take with little study, but I wouldn't call it impossible. You just need to get a copy of the DSST fact sheet and make sure you know the subjects covered to include some simple formulas and calculations (PF, CAPM, Bonds, stock price, EPS, etc.)

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Have you gotten your credits assessed by TESC yet? WHen they did mine, I got full credit for managerial communication (ALS and NCO academy covered it). Also, some of my tech school credits transferred to my major directly and I was able to save having to take a few courses. Let me know what you took and I can give you an idea of where the credits are going to go.

EDIT:

I found an evaluation of how my CCAF credit transferred, the first two (COP-299,399) where my 5 lvl and 7 lvl upgrades. HRM-315 and MAN-373, MSC 101 were my ALS credits.

Okay cool, this is actually really helpful! Unfortunately, I haven't been to ALS yet, I think I will save that Managerial Com credit to be one of my last ones. I pin on SrA in like 3 months haven't been in that long. Came in, screwed around for a year, then got like all my credits in about a year or so time frame. I just finished my last credits for CCAF a week ago, submitted the transcript 3 days ago. Last time I submitted a transcript to CCAF it took 3 months for them to apply the credit. Do you think they would give me more credit if I waited for the CCAF AAS as a whole or to just transfer it as is?

Thomas Edison is going to pick the CCAF apart anyways, so no real reason to wait to send the transcript (as long as your 5 lvl is already on your transcript, i don't see a benefit in waiting). I think a lot of people do SL business communications for managerial com, so if you haven't done ALS, (i think they make you wait to your 4th year now right?) it may not benefit you to wait, its up to you and what your goals and time frame are. If the last CCAF credits were from outside (CLEP, outside courses), TESC is going to pull it from the origin transcript not CCAF.

Intro to world religion fits in as one of the diversity courses. I had the old LA format before the big change, but my wife has in that section intro to sociology, ethics in america, and intro to world religions to cover the ethics and respons. section.

Good job getting done quick with the CCAF, CMSA Cody took 11 years to get his and only got his Bachelor's like 2 years ago, and he is the CMSA, so you're way ahead of the bell curve, i took 8 years. People wait to the last minute to get math done, it would be nice if AU would accept ALEKs, but they don't.

I concur with mednat's recommendations. For the core, i believe DSST now has a cyber security exam, and also TESC has some IT related TECEPs that can fit in there. I took the actual strategic management course because I didn't want to TECEP it, and I didn't want Penn Foster anywhere near my transcript in case I wanted to apply to a more selective master's program (no disrespect to Penn Foster). From what I read on this forum Penn Foster Strat Mgmt is cheap, quick and easy, so it would be a good option. TESC's Strategic Management course was challenging, but enjoyable. I think it was challenging because the mentor for my class is an NYU MBA and a successful executive and she always pressed me on giving more analysis, but she was understanding of my military situation and let me submit a bunch of late papers. I got a B, but it was enjoyable.

Good catch, Sanantone. Also, with the residency option, there really is no reason to wait to enroll anymore. You can always switch to the enrolled option later.
