TESC Commencement Ceremony
#1
For TESC, does anyone know if June graduates are invited to the yearly commencement ceremony in September? Or is it only for September graduates? I'm trying to decide which graduation I should apply for. Timing will be tight for June, since classes won't end until the second half of March, but I think it might work out. It would be nice to be all done on the one hand. But on the other, my family may enjoy having me participate in the ceremony. Thanks.

They will invite those who graduated December 2012, March 2013, June 2013, and September 2013 to all attend the one ceremony in September. You can read more about it here (noting they have last year's information posted):

Yeah, they only hold one ceremony per year and December graduates (like I was last December) have to wait until the following September. That's standard at most schools, it's just weird that TESC's is in September and not in May like schools near me.

Unless it has changed, I thought TESC has Spring and Fall commencement ceremonies.

Edit: Well, I can't find anything current on Spring Commencement, so looks like that may have been a one time event in 2011.

It may be better to wait to celebrate until you are truly done with your degree, but you could ask if you would be allowed to attend under any special circumstances. For instance at EC, I was told, if I was a few credits away from completion of my degree by the first of the month before the ceremony, I could be eligible to attend. I didn't make the deadline, but it was nice to know it was possible.

They did in 2011, but for 2012 and later moved to a single ceremony at a larger venue (Sun Bank Center)
