Possible course options? (WARNING: Very Long Post)
#1
Hi everyone,

I was hoping you guys would take a look at my transcripts and help me verify what if any other options are available for obtaining my remaining credits. I’m doing TESC’s BSBA In General Management. I’ve been lucky enough to have the help of Bricabrac, but I figured it doesn’t hurt to hear some additional ideas.
Realistically, I don’t know if I have time to graduate with 5 classes remaining. I have essentially 10 weeks to get everything finished, and that may not be realistic. I don't want to make it to 100+ credits and not graduate because I don't have the extra cash to continue. I'm not trying to sound lazy, but I'm looking for the fastest possible option/s for finishing up these classes. I’ve recently quit my job to focus on school and by working for 12+ hours a day; I’ve been able to knock out 6 SL classes in the last two weeks. I’m hoping the same dedication can help me complete these final 5 courses. Below are my transcripts with everything that’s completed.

I’ll provide the list below but discuss the courses up here. Bricabrac has made some excellent suggestions so far. Basically I’m missing these classes in several areas. I’ll need the following:

1. Principles of Finance (Principles of Finance DSST was suggested)
2. Strategic Management/Business Policy (I'm thinking about doing the TECEP for Business Policy but I'm not sure)
3. Specialization (Advertising TECEP was recommended)
4. Specialization (Management Information Systems DSST was recommended)
5. Specialization (Public Relations & Thought Process or Sales management TECEP was recommended)

I'd love to hear some suggestions if you guys have them.

Do you need to complete a capstone to get a degree in general management?
#3
Strategic Management is the capstone for a BSBA.

You can also take Penn Foster courses (Strategic Managment and Financial Management), I've heard they're easier than the tests, but have recently heard bad things about the teacher for Strategic Management at PF, so not sure on that one.

Sophia Learning has a promo code for a free course if you sign up before 3/31 (normally $329), and there are 2 courses that might count in specialization: Project Management and/or Conflict Resolution. I would see if anyone else has ever had one of these courses transcribed to see what TESC counts them at though.

Good luck.

Hi! I'm enrolled at TESC for the BSBA in Operations Management.
I did Sophia Project Management for free last week. It was informative and easy to get through. Took 10 hours for the course over 2 days and 1/2 hour 3 days later for their ID validation test through Proctor u. There are 4 sections. Each section has 3 subsections with quizzes and videos that give you the info to answer the quizzes. Each main section has a test that is worth double what the quizzes are worth. You are allowed to have another window open and look at the videos while taking the test - it's open book. The ID validation test is not a final - it's made up of 25 questions you already answered correctly while taking the course.
Make sure to set up an ACE account and have the Sophia credit pull to it.
