TESC-Has this happened to anyone else?
#1
Ok, I was trying to find a class to fulfill my last 3 credits for my area of study (Emergency Management). My advisor recommended taking a look at the different class topics that I could study (they have these listed online). I looked and noticed that "Basic Skills: Creative Financing" was listed as an acceptable class, so I sent a ticket to them asking whether any of the finance CLEPs or DSSTs would be accepted for this class. The advisor sent my request to the Dean for approval (15 days ago). Now when I pull up the credit distribution for my degree it no longer lists "Basic Skills: Creative Financing" as a class option. They took it off the page after I asked about it. Has this happened to anyone else? I've reopened the ticket the see if the Dean has gotten back with an answer for me. Do I have any ground to stand on now since it was there before I asked the question?

Not sure if you will find it, but you can look in this web archive and see if it is still there. They still may not allow it, but they will have egg on their face when they tell you it was not there.

Finally got a response.

Quote:Yes I did receive a response from the Dean's office, Creative Financing is not an approved subject area for your degree. Therefore, finance courses would not be approved. It was listed on the Distribution list in error and will be removed.

Best regards,

I'm kinda bummed. I'm having the hardest time coming up with a class for my last 3 credits. Arg.
