Say I apply to TESC and have transcripts forwarded. They review the transcripts and provide an evaluation. What happens if I then send more transcripts? Do they update the evaluation or do you have to be an enrolled student?
As you can tell, I am feeling a bit like a new degreeforums user with the latest switch.

They say you receive two evaluations. However, I kind of only got one, because when they did my first evaluation, I didn't have any transcripts in to them. After my "second" evaluation they didn't transcribe my Saylor credits although they did have them.
When I asked why, they said I only was allowed two evalulations to which I replied that technically I'd only had one and specifically, they had the Saylor transcripts when they did the "second" one. So they updated it with the Saylor credits. I "enrolled" a week or two later, so they've added more credits as I've requested them to.
Saylor transcripts take a lot longer for TESC to post than CLEP's or DSST's. I think Saharapost is still waiting for his to showup on his eval. We say on average it takes 20 days for your credits to show up on your eval after tesc receives them. Saylor is still longer.

Even though I was "enrolled" under the pay per credit plan, it wasn't until yesterday that my status changed from "applicant" to "enrolled. It was also yesterday that my Saylor Marketing credit was added to my evaluation after the first evaluation I got from TESC. I don't know if it means they had to wait until my status changed to "enrolled" before they updated my evaluation or it was just a coincidence.

I forgot to mention that after your first evaluation, you can always see when they received transcripts through the online portal. They just won't do anything to them until you're officially enrolled.

I had the same thing happen as Zenurez; they gave me an empty evaluation because my transcripts had not been received. Right now, without my transcript from the last school attended or tests, I have 72 credits. I am anxious to see all the credits though.
My problem now us that I have requested transcripts from my last school twice, & TESC is still showing that they have not received them! I'm really worried about this. Does anyone know how long it takes TESC to show that they've received transcripts once they arrive in the mail?

Really confused by the transcript process. Hopefully someone can break it all down.
I've been accepted to TESC and had 3 transcripts sent over.
Institutions Attended - Transcript Recv. Date
0005647 Sinclair CC - 05/06/14
0010892 TESC-Army - 05/19/14
0004855 TESC-Assessment Credit - 05/19/14
First one is from my local community college - 2nd one is from JST (Military Credits) - 3rd is from the school I got my Associates from.
Spoke to a "student" advisor today and they said my review process started on May 9th.
Does that mean they are only looking at the 1st transcript, if you look at the date received? or are they using all 3?
Also spoke to someone from the Office of Military and Veteran Education last Friday and he advised me to drop the CIS107 class that I enrolled in until
my eval is completed, which I did drop.
So here is my confusion - will TESC complete my eval with all 3 transcripts and will they show me the credits accepted prior to enrolling in any classes?
Thanks

Average of 20 days. Are you sure that the transcript was mailed? I thought I had faxed mine successfully but realized after a few weeks that my old college never received the request. So I had to call.

Well I can't say for sure, but I checked my evaluation almost daily for a few weeks. When they finally posed my eval, they appeared to have evaluated all the transcripts I had in prior to the date they posted the evaluation except one, which was from Saylor. There is really no way to know for sure until they post the eval. It is frustrating, I know.

I believe you are thinking of the time it takes to actually update the evaluations. I called Maureen in the registrar's office & she said it takes 1-2 days to get the transcripts in the system as having been received, after which they go to the evaluator.
Yes, I am sure my transcript request was received by the old school. I e-mailed the request, & followed up twice by phone. I believe the problem is they have some young work-study students in the office who aren't actually working, because the registrar at the old school told me twice that he'd have one of the work study students send it out. I called again yesterday, & requested that they mail out a copy a 3rd time, plus mail me a certified copy. This way if I don't get mine, I'lk know ut never got mailed, but if I do get mine & TESC doesn't, I can send it signature required to TESC.
TESC has received transcripts for me from 3 other schools though, so I don't think they are at fault.

Yes, I'm sorry, I was speaking about how long from when they receive them to when they are on the evaluation. I usually see them in my portal a day before I ever get the email saying they've been received. After receiving its about 20 days to show up on my evaluation (after I was enrolled). And for DSST/CLEP's it seems to be another 15 or so days to get from the test center to TESC.
