TESU -ASNSM Computer Science
#21
Hi, You don't need anything more as the Sophia courses you mentioned already have that area covered for D.
However, You should still finish off the course Cyber 201 for the free electives or general education overflow.

If you really want more credits in Cybersecurity or CIS, why not just do the Google IT Support Professional Certificate on Coursera?

ACE recommended for 12 credits, 6 in CIS, 3 in Cyber, 3 in Networking.

I did it in 4 hours and they give you a 7-day free trial.

Unfortunately, at TESU, they only give you 3 credits for the Google certificate. It's a lot of work for 3 credits. You can't possibly do the certificate in 4 hours without cheating unless you already have an extensive background in computers and computing technology. I would rate my skills as a bit above average and I still had to redo several of the quizzes multiple times because of this mistake or that.

Honestly, Coursera should be completely free right now if you have a TESU email. I'm personally working on a couple of certificates right now for free. Even if you can't manage that, the the fee for one month of Coursera for 3 credits wouldn't be a bad trade off.

For ASNSM, don't I need it 8 credits?

201 can be used as free electives for your business degree, since it appears that you've got your ASNSM pretty well covered now.

2 credits is the minimum number that you need to fill section D. You could fill this with 2 1-credit labs OR 1 3-credit course. You could even do a 4-credit course, but that's not necessary. A Sophia 3-credit science course will work fine.

That's a bold claim. I obviously can't speak to the difficulty of the Google cert without IT knowledge (I have plenty of IT knowledge), but I made it through 80% of their Cloud certificate in 5 hours before realizing the certificate was entirely worthless for me. Whilst I know about IT, I don't know anything about Google Cloud specifically. It's all about leveraging what you do know to fill in the gaps and making educated guesses based on logic for the rest.

From Sophia, I don't think I can get another course that will transfer to the D section.  I already took Human Bio and Env Science, I don't know what else would transfer. When I comper D sections in my  BSBA and ASNSM, the ASNSM req 8 credits, the BSBA 6 credits which I already have.

Ah, you're right. I just checked my evaluation for the same degree. If you're in the US, OnlineDegree has a different biology (it doesn't overlap) and astronomy you could use to fill in the gap. If you're not in the US, SDC would probably be the quickest way to get an easy science course to fill in the gap.

You might as well try 201 since it's free but I'm not sure it'll work.

Doesn't one of the Sophia courses come in as CIS107? If so it fits in that section.
