Hello all!
Reporting back with my TESU BALS eval (Excelsior and COSC still pending) with the credits I earned from RA institutions.
Excellent news! ALL MY LS REQUIREMENTS ARE MET!
88 credits transferred over (they counted my remedial math class an an elective!), with 33 remaining.
Here's the breakdown:
Still need
Written Comp II (Plan on taking Sophia's ENG COMP II)
Cornerstone (REQ at TESU)
Capstone (REQ at TESU)
Ethics (Plan on taking it on Sophia)
and 20 credits from electives still needed.
I took the spanish CLEP and passed, they still haven't recv'd that so I hope when I do, it'll knock 15 credits off leaving me with 5 credits left.
If so, then I will take 2 electives at Sophia or Study.com
Super stoked about this eval, I was hoping to start Feb to make it in time for June graduation but since they haven't received my CLEP it looks like I will have to wait for September graduation... unless Excelsior's eval is similar, in which case I think I will go to Excelsior since they confer degrees on a monthly basis. I applied to COSC for free so I will see how that goes, but I think the earliest I could graduate there is the end of Aug.
Anyway-- my question is: should I go ahead and get started on those Sophia courses or should I wait and see what Excelsior and COSC's evals say?

Congrats! That's awesome news!
I would go ahead and get started on the Sophia courses while waiting. According to the info we have, Ethics and English Comp II are both accepted at Excelsior and COSC. So, if you change your mind about which school, you can still use those credits. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/So...lency_List
For Ethics, you're probably going to also want to take Greek Philosophers first because the ethics class is really more of a philosophy class. COSC doesn't accept Greek Philosophers (so far as we know) but Excelsior does and the course makes Intro to Ethics easier so it's worth it anyway.
I would also take any other courses at Sophia that don't overlap with what you've got in RA credit. You'll have some waiting to do anyway for EC, COSC, and the grading for English Comp II. So, go ahead and load up on anything that's accepted at all three.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

that's great!
I'm curious where the 15 credits for Spanish CLEP comes in at TESU. I'm looking on their website and one gets either 6 credits or 9 credits depending on score. I'm not sure and just asking.
and sure go ahead and grab enough sophia courses to fill in what you need and doesn't overlap.

You're right, I believe it's a max of 9 :// misread it as 6+9 since someone else told me they tranferred 15 credits in but with a different spanish exam! however on the excelsior website it looks like it might be 15?
i took spanish 1 and 2 and scored 50 and 63 respectively, so according to the college board website a score of 50 on level 1 alone is 6 credits, and a score of 63 on level 2 is 9 credits so i assumed 15 would transfer? maybe i am mistaken

The Spanish Language exam is a single exam (2), and it counts as 6cr if you scored a 50-62, and 9cr if you scored a 63+. That will be the case at all of the Big 3 I think.
If you are fluent in Spanish, you may want to take the ACTFL/LTI OPIc exam, which would give you ALL of your remaining credit if you score high enough. It's like $108 and you could do it tonight if you wanted to - you just schedule it and take it right away. If you score high, you get 6cr of UL and 6cr of LL, and none of it duplicates the CLEP exam.
You will need English Comp II and Ethics no matter which of the Big 3 you end up, so
