TESU BA CS + BS BA Double Bachelor planning help
#1
Following my previous introduction post (https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ated-field) about doing a computer science related bachelor at TESU, I've been following the advice given and settled on a BA CS + BS BA double bachelor to match my background as a software dev as well as my interest in business finance.

I've started putting up together a plan: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing

There are still a few unknowns that I could use some advice on.
The current plan is to stat with the BA CS, and take most of the BS BA area of study / professional business requirements as free electives. Then when I'm done with BA CS I should just have a couple more classes (between 5 and 10) to complete the BS BA.

Money is not too much of an issue and I would rather go for convenience / speed which is why I'm aiming to take 2 terms at TESU, the first one will include the cornerstone, BACS capstone, as well as 3+ courses, and a second term to get the BS BA capstone + a few additional courses if required.

There are a few elements I'm still unsure about:
1/ In Gen Ed intellectual and practical skills, is it mandatory to complete one public speaking and one writing course or not? I'm not great in either and would much rather get rid of one of them to take something like MAT-1050-TE applied liberal arts mathematics which would give me 3 RA credits and would be quite easy and quick to complete.
2/ What are the capstones about, and how hard are they?
3/ Same question for the cornerstone
4/ Can CIS-1070 be used for both the professional business requirements in BS BA as well as BA CS computer science elective? I just checked the TECEP and besides some questions about Microsoft software which I'm not familiar with (excel, word and so on), the rest is quite easy for me so would it be smarter to just do the TECEP instead of taking the course with the TESU ePack thing?
5/ Is there any information on FDR-4400 fundraising for nonprofit available somewhere? Haven't seen any equivalence on sophia / study.
6/ Same question about BUS-2100 Quantitative skills for business? Maybe Calculus from BA CS can be used or is it a specific course?
6/ With the current plan I have 12 RA credits for the BS BA and 12 RA credits for the BA CS. A lot of electives can be taken from the BS BA into the BA CS so getting the 30 here should be easy, however only 15 credits from free electives can be taken into the BS BA meaning I would need all these electives to be from BA CS AoS / CS electives taken as RA credits. Any good recommendation for this?

Gonna be honest, its pretty difficult to read what you had in the Google Sheets. I would recommend starting off with Sophia and Study.com. Everything you need to know is in the transfer list.

Sophia: https://tesu.sophia.org/

Study.com: https://study.com/college/school/thomas-...rsity.html

I would also recommend using Coursera to max out the total transfer credits and gain some courses towards TESU's IT/CS degrees.

Coursera: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera

After that, send in all of your transcripts to TESU, they'll tell you whats missing, and from there, we'll have a better understanding of what you need. Just know, you can only submit transcripts twice while you're working your way to being admitted. Once you're enrolled, then its unlimited (to my understanding).

What is difficult to read? The name of the modules, font size, color or is it something else?

The issue about starting with Sophia / Study / Coursera without planning is that I might then end up with RA credits that do not overlap with both degrees for courses I'm not comfortable with and will struggle more if it's not open book. For instance I'd rather do Calculus than US History with proctoring because I'm just better at maths than I am at memorizing history.
