If you want to be enrolled, you have to register for a course or TECEP, there's no other way. TECEPs are priced fairly closely to CLEPs and other alternative credit, and most people can find a TECEP that fits into their degree plan somewhere. BTW, you've missed the '16/17 catalog year anyway. You would have had to be registered in or before the June term which is already under way. That takes most of the urgency to get enrolled away.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

kale Wrote:Ok I'm more puzzled about enrollment now.
I'm looking through my spreadsheet and the only thing I can or need to registered at TESU is the capstone course which I'm not ready for.
About TECEP, I don't see any that I need to take that are available through TESU.
I'm taking Enc 102 and STA 201 through ST, so I can just transfer those once I'm done.
Am I missing something here? Is there something I can do enroll or should I just wait it out?
thank you again.
When you said you were registered, I thought that meant you were taking these courses or TECEP's at TESU. ST is not a thing here - if you meant Straighterline, we use SL. So that was confusing.
If you want to be enrolled now, you need to apply, send in your transcripts, and then register for a TECEP. They're $117. Pick one that you need for your degree. The English Comp II TECEP was very easy and would have been a good choice. Since you're doing that through SL, just choose something else. If you've already taken all of the courses you need, then you can wait and just register for the Capstone.

I would usually recommend to wait until all your courses are completed and get them transferred to TESU.
Unless you need to "lock" yourself into a catalog year, there's no need to apply and enroll yet.
Finish your required transfer courses first, apply/enroll into the Capstone, and then you're done.

I was talking about Straighterline, sorry about the confusion. And since I have missed the deadline already, the decision is automatic. Thank you guys.

I know OP is a long ways away at 64 credits remaining, but I still think it's a bad idea to wait around with regards to enrollment even though it will cost more money to enroll two or more years at TESU. Much of the coursework we talk about here like SL, ALEKS, and study.com are worth zero at almost every college out there. You want to get those courses in and maintain continuous enrollment at TESU with no gaps to guarantee that the coursework will still count at graduation. If enrollment lapses for even a day or if there is no enrollment at all, degree requirements and transfer guidelines can change in a way that's very costly in terms of money and time.

I would not tell someone to wait until all of their courses were completed, because if they got everything except the capstone done, and then TESU changed their requirements, that person would be screwed. I say just go ahead and enroll now, there's now downside.

It costs nothing to enroll at TESU except the cost of a TECEP, which can be applied to the degree. Unlike COSC or EC, there are no term or semester based fees there.

I agree, but because the OP most likely has missed enrollment for the 2016/2017 year, there's no need to rush into things. I would determine
what is required, get them done and apply/enroll. Even if the OP applies now, the enrollment for a course has ended for June.
If OP want, they can try to apply/enroll for July as its started and late registration is July 18-22, 2017. Again, OP needs to decide.
