They have officially registered me for the April Capstone, but yet to send me an invoice for it. $ 1497 is too steep a hike! Is that what I need to pay? I enrolled in 2018 December. So, will I still be charged $ 1098?

You would pay online in Student Services. If you don't pay it in a day or two, you will be automatically withdrawn, so you should either pay it online, or get on the phone with them ASAP if you want to be in that capstone.

Very nice! Make sure to pay it asap or else you'll be dropped from the class. They sent me an email stating I made it into the March Capstone ON THE 1st DAY of class and a second email with all of the payment info. And I paid $1098 btw.

I'm at the end of my first week and am not nervous anymore-- it's actually kind of fun(knocking on wood). You don't need luck, you'll do great!

I seem to recall people recently paying only $1125. Was there a 2019 price hike?

You can see the current Study.com discounts on TESU's site here.

With the Study.com discount, instead of paying $499 per credit, you pay $366 per credit. Each capstone is a 3-credit course which normally runs $1,497, but comes down to $1,098 with the Study.com discount. The cornerstone is also a 3-credit course now and will come in at the same $1,098 cost.

In addition to the per-credit tuition discount, the residency waiver fee is reduced from $2,500 to $2,200 with the Study.com discount.

I'm not sure where those $1,425 or $1,125 numbers are coming from. I assume this came from Advising, which isn't really the best source of information; they tend to guess a lot rather than actually look up the proper answers.

I am so over TESU.  Angry I went round and round with someone yesterday about the cost of the Capstone with the Study.com discount. I was told that the Study.com affiliation discounted in-state tuition to $366/credit and out of state tuition to $475.

I didn't think this was right, but after three weeks of trying to get registered for the Capstone, being denied, re-appealing, and fighting to get my profile updated to reflect the SDC affiliation, I was worn out and went ahead and paid $1,425 for the Capstone before the school changed their mind.

At this point I don't even care. I just want to get finished, graduate and forget about this mess. This is the kind of nonsense that one would expect from some no-name community college in Kentucky; not a state university.

Merlin, do you have a link that shows what the SDC discount reduces out of state tuition to? If I'm reading it correctly, this link only mentions the in state discount. https://www.tesu.edu/studycom/

This shows quite clearly that out of state students get access to in state tuition with the Study.com discount.

That link (and the other more current link https://www.tesu.edu/studycom/costs-tuition) both indicate the tuition discount. All study.com students, regardless of where they live, receive a discount off in-state tuition. After discount, the per-credit tuition is $366 (though it appears to be increasing to $375 per credit according to the second link, despite people still being charged at the $366 per credit rate right now). By discount off in-state tuition, that means you get the in-state rate plus an additional discount. Either way, you're paying $366 per credit or $375 per credit after Study.com discount (which should be reflected on your account status as "corporate choice").
