TESU Computer Science - Roadmap Needed

U need 18 credits of com sci electives, capstone is a separate thing and doesnt knock down 18 credits requirement. So unfortunately it must be 6 UL courses of Com sci courses without Capstone

Is that new? Because I was told that the capstone counted and I've seen it posted elsewhere that the capstone counts as UL credit.

It does count as UL but if you check TESU degree plan - u will find that section C- includes 18 credits of ComSci electives.
Capstone is UL but it has own section B, called Capstone which requires 3 credit .
So since there r considered separate sections with separate requirements. I dont think u can count Capstone as part of 18 credit ComSci electives
If anyone is done with ComSci degree using SCD and other mentioned alternative providers for all ComSci degree
it would be great to see how they filled 18 UL credits

I think this is incorrect. Looking at TESU's BACS page I think you're reading Section C and D differently.

Section A - Required Courses
Section B - Capstone
Section C - Comp Sci Electives
Section D - 18 UL credit requirement.

I would read that as a requirement to the sections above, meaning Section A, B and C would require 18 credits worth of UL credits, capstone included. As far as I know, the 18 UL credits requirement has been there for years and the Capstone is included in that number.

If that weren't the case, I don't think the BACS would be doable because the UL Computer Architecture and Linear Algebra courses are in Section A, not C.

I agree. D is a list of requirements for part II of the degree. Part II is the AOS and the capstone is included in that.

I'm fairly certain you're wrong in your assumption. Why would they require UL credits for section A, not count from section B, and UL credits for section C? Also, whether it's an elective or not doesn't matter. Computer Architecture is not an elective, yet it will count as upper level. The Upper Level requirement is for the Area of Study, not just the electives. Section A - Required Courses, B - The Capstone, and C - Electives must have a combined value of 18 upper level credits.

If you go into the Undergraduate Catalog on the TESU website and look at the BA in Computer Science, it even says "Degree Requirements:
A minimum of 18 credits must be upper level (300 level or above) within the area of study". The same section shows that the Liberal Arts Capstone (LIB-495) is in the Area of Study.

Additionally, concerning LIB-495 not being a Comp-Sci course - it isn't. It's a degree capstone. You'll notice that all the Bachelor of Arts degrees have that course. It's not a specific course with questions and exams, it's a research project you do to summarize your coursework in your undergraduate major. The LIB-495 capstone for someone taking Anthropology would be vastly different than the same course with a Mathematics degree.

Once you do the required courses, you need 12UL courses

Systems Analysis & Design 302 (study.com)
Database Management 303 (study.com)
Management Information Systems 303 (study.com)

Then Network Technology CMP-354 (TECEP) or Linear Algebra (CooperSmith NCCRS) or TESU full CS UL course.
(pick your poison)

After that, you need 6CR of CS electives.
You can do Sofia (intro to computers), then just add one more CS elective and you are done.
