TESU Diversity and Civic alternatives?
#1
For the TESU Diversity and Civics courses:

1. Are there (not too expensive) alternatives for American Government (as the Civic course) at all?
2. Is Global Issues and Society, or equivalent, available to take anywhere?
3. Is Eastern Religions, or equivalent, available anywhere?

Comparative Politics would work for Civic Engagement. Available through Study.com, Saylor and TECEP that I'm aware of. Possibly others

There are multiple courses that will satisfy the different requirements, but there aren't courses for EACH course that TESU says will work. They list their own courses, but you can bring in courses from lots of places.

American Government CLEP would be completely free if you use Modern States. (Heavily recommend additional study aides unless you are very well-versed though.)

I found this today:

Study.com's COM-301: Elements of Intercultural Communication transfers over to TESU as COM-131 : Introduction to Intercultural Communication—and COM-335: Elements of Intercultural Communication is listed in the Diversity General Courses.

Edit: Corrected course name (thanks to Merlin).

I think you meant that Study.com Communications 301: Diversity and Intercultural Communication transfers to TESU as COM-131: Introduction to Intercultural Communication. The course should come in as a GenEd under Humanities (and possibly Diversity as well).

COM-335 (Elements of Intercultural Communication) is a TESU course and is probably the course equivalency that SDC was originally targeting with their Comm 301 course, but failed to achieve the UL ACE recommendation for it.
