Has anybody had any experience persuading TESU to accept something other than English Comp to satisfy their Written Communication requirement?
I only have 3 credits of English Comp. and would like to avoid doing any more if I can. I was hoping to get them to accept credits from a writing-intensive history course I took previously (10-page research paper + multiple short-essay question based assignments.)
Has anybody done something similar?

Have you looked into the English Comp TECEP or other options?

Their "Written Communication" requirement specifies English Comp I and English Comp II. They aren't going to budge with that one.
You can take the CLEP (comes in with 6cr for English Comp I & II), SL has II, and there's a TECEP for II (I took it and passed it cold). 2 hours for 3cr isn't a bad deal, and it wasn't hard to pass.

My teenage son just took English Comp II at Straighterline - he spent 3 days total on it and was completely done - it's 5 papers and a short novel (Frankenstein) but you honestly can read Cliffs Notes if time is of the essence or you don't care to read/re-read it. Papers were graded very quickly and there is no proctored final.

I just checked my evaluation report on the TESU website again, and my credits have been evaluated (19 days from TESU receiving my first transcript)!
It turns out the entirety of the General Ed. requirements plus the Cornerstone have been waived due to this being my second bachelor's degree. I'm doing the happy dance! :hurray:
Now I can register for a TECEP, get enrolled and fix the catalog I'm working under.
