I am trying to get more information about PLA at TESU. It seems to me, since the Kaplan PLA course is not available any more, that PLA through learningcounts is much quicker than taking PLA-100 and PLA-200 at TESU. Is it also easier? Also, I know that PLA-100 is graded and thus influences the final GPA. Is PLA-200 graded, too?

This has been discussed quite a bit, and recently, too. If you'll search for it, you'll find more information.
Long story short, one of the people over the PLA group at TESU, and at multiple places on the TESU site, says that you must take their PLA-200 to be eligible to submit. It's unclear to me if you have to take their PLA-100 as well; I'm currently working on the assumption you don't.
Unless you have some depth in the topic you wish to portfolio, it might not be the best route. There is a database of courses they allow you to demonstrate prior learning experience in. Have you looked through it yet?

I was just about to start looking into this for Accounting Computerized Systems credits. It would fill out my UL Accounting Courses but having to spend/take PLA-200 and or PLA-100 isn't worth the time for me to just study/take the Federal Income Tax TECEP as planned. Because they decided to Review the Strategic Management TECEP I was forced to register for that one a few month earlier then planned, I just hope I can still get this done this way.

PLA-200 is graded.
I don't know if LearningCounts is easier. I do know that they have their own version of PLA-100/200. Not sure how many credits it is or how hard it is.
If you decide to do a portfolio through TESU, and once you know you are eligible for it, you can see the link in my sig for tips for successful portfolio completion.
BSBA/Accounting TESU (2016). MSA UIUC (2018).
Need help with portfolios? I earned 18 credits at TESU through portfolio evaluations. Nine of those were for upper level accounting courses. My advice for PLA/portfolios:
TESU portfolio tips The first post has the Portfolio Checklist I created. Page ten has the actual narrative I wrote to receive credit for ACC-440.
Using Straighterline's Financial Accounting as a substitute for TESU's Intermediate Accounting I? Don't do it if you are an accounting major and/or want your CPA license. They are not the same course and I think TESU has erred in accepting the SL course as Intermediate I. I made this discovery here:
Intermediate Accounting II.
