TESU BSBA General Management Degree Plan - Critique?

dexter1326 Wrote:You are absolutely correct. CLEP shows the same on their website. Another one (three, actually) bite(s) the dust!

Also, any course provider can say what they think the course is worth (ACE as well), but a school can choose to bring that course/exam in differently. For example, TESU brings in a bunch of courses as UL that the course provider may or may not say is UL, but it's TESU's decision to do so. If a course provider said that something was UL, TESU could decide that it was not. Again, totally up to them.

So, always keep in mind that any college gets to make decisions themselves as to how this works, and it may be completely different from what other colleges do.

Also, does anyone on the thread know which ALEKS ACE-recommended math courses TESU will accept? Could I do College Algebra for Quantitative Literacy, with Beginning Algebra and Intermediate Algebra under Gen Ed:Mathematics?

TESU does not accept Beginning Algebra.

You can do Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra (required), Stats (required), and then Precalc if you want. The BSBA requires at least 1 course in addition to College Algebra & Stats, so most people do Intermediate Algebra if they're using ALEKS.

Does the BSBA General Management require a capstone? and what other courses (if any) are required through TESU?
I was looking at previous degree plans and there wasn't a capstone for this degree, but I don't know what the new requirements are for 2016-2017.

You can transfer everything into the BSBA program but the capstone, the General Management and other AOS (Area Of Study) require the Strategic Management Capstone to be completed at TESU now. So, the cheapest option would be the TECEP, unless you want to actually take a course at TESU, everything will be transferred into the degree program...

Thank you for such a quick reply! Are there any degrees at TESU that don't require a capstone or can still be tested out?

BSBA capstone is the only one that can still be tested out of, you just have to do it via a TECEP.
