Anyone ever take the technical writing TECEP? I'm taking it in September.

How was it and how did you prepare?

I'm curious a bit about it myself. They have a break down of the test along with suggested book readings here:

Thanks Drake,

I have two out of the three recommended books, and the books seem cover most of the topics listed on that page. Like you, I'm hoping to get some feedback from someone who has taken it.

I took the DSST exam version of it. Not sure how closely related they are, but I used the Peterson MWR library as my main study resource and a random free study resource from Free Study Guides and Practice Tests - DantesTestPrep.com. I studied for about two weeks off and on. It really wasn't that hard, I just wasn't interested in the subject. Good luck

I'm fairly new to this all, so I could very well be wrong, but when I researched technical writing on this forum, it seemed that the discussion I found were saying that the DSST was a multiple choice test whereas the TECEP is all writing.

I also took the DSST exam. I've read feedback from those who took the TECEP and it's considered a relatively easy exam.
