?? are you sure?? Mine shows "credit"
Also- all my transfer courses came over with grades but were transcripted as "credit"

My apologies...I should learn my lesson about answering questions about a college I am not going to...Since you get graded at Excelsior for the ECE exams, I figured the same would go for the TECEPs...I should know better than to use common sense Smile. It seems kinda wacky they dont give grades for their own exams...Do you happen to know how Excelsior accepts these ie grades awarded or p/f ?

I don't know, that's a good question!

I'm going to have to take 1 class to TESC then I guess. I wonder if they have a 1 credit course that will work for me.

So let me understand this clearly...

I have all of my transfer grades, Do they show on the transcript and just don't get calculated for the TESC GPA, or do they not show at all?

Then if the gpa is only for TESC courses, do they include courses that may not fit in your degree pattern. So if your in a business pattern and you get an A for an easier history course, does its grade count as your GPA?

Ok, TESC will take your transfer courses, but they won't issue a grade. So, if you earned two A's and two B's for previous courses before TESC, they come in as "credit" not grades. The exception that we were talking about is the overwriting- so lets say you take a TESC course called College Math and get a D! You can take either the college math CLEP or a college math course elsewhere and transfer it in to wash over the old D and replace it with
"credit" which neither + or - your GPA.
Also, all of your TESC grades will be on your transcript- in major or out.

Unless you need a certain number of graded credits for admission to a certain grad school, the TESC policy can work in your favor.

They have a class on Pride and Prejudice for one credit, and a couple health/phys ed type classes as well.
I'm done!

Looks like we are in a similar situation. I have decided to take the TESC Stress Management (Social Science) online class for 3 credits this spring. Unfortunatly, I need to ensure my GPA due to requirements for Grad school acceptance. It will cost me a little more money, but I have already saved a fortune.
