I assume the major would be listed as bachelor of science general studies and the concentration as information systems studies, but I do not actually know for sure.
I do have some concern over how the major will be viewed by potential employers and grad schools.

I am mostly just curious....I just need "a" bachelor's degree, but if it could potentially help me by being somewhat related to some aspect of my career...that would be good.

Yes, that's one of the main drawbacks to COSC and EC vs. TESU. TESU requires 12CR/18CR UL (depending on the degree), and they are all in the AOS. COSC and EC require 30cr UL throughout the degree (with different amounts required in different places). That's normally where the DSST exams came in.
There are other options to get the UL courses, but you have to work a little harder to find them: UExcel has some, CSU-Global has some for $250, Penn Foster has some for $299. So it will be more expensive to get that 30cr UL because of it. Not cost-prohibitive, but not crazy cheap either.

Those 30 upper level credits don't seem too bad, considering it looks like 18 are in your area of study, and the rest are random.
COSC can be done without the stats class that's whooping me :-)

Are there any certifications that could apply here? Self-study certs, I mean.

Look at JTP's thread that I mentioned earlier.
COSC has a PLA database that has exams that were previously evaluated. They do things a little different then TESU. CISA, CISM, ITIL, C|EH, C|HFI, and CISSP are all listed.
I transferred in my Net+ and Sec+ to the Info Systems concentration so they my apply to the Cybersecurity major.

Very cool, thanks.
I dont have any PLA to do as I dont work in IT and never have. I just figured some certs I can self study for would be even better if they would transfer.
