That’s awesome! It almost makes me want to do the same.... just to see if I can! Although, I think I tend to have a short attention span.
Thanks for the help! BBA done in one session

It's up to you whether you want to get a UMPI degree or not, of course. But there are certainly things that you can do about your attention span. It's not a lost cause.

Please don't judge yourself by how many classes someone else completed in a term. I've graduated from UMPI and have no idea how anyone could have done 15 classes in 1 term. The most I did was 8 and even that was quite a bit I felt. It meant I worked nonstop through the long Thanksgiving weekend. Some classes have longer papers/projects than others.

Wouldn't this be right up your alley then? I mean, a full semester might make you balk, but 2 quick months to do a gazillion courses...sounds perfect for someone with a short attention span to me.

You guys have come a long way in a short amount of time!
There seems to be a clear path now to get 90 credits to transfer into UMPI and at least a 50/50 chance, it can be done in one term keeping your total costs below $2000, wow! 6 Month Git-R-Done UMPI Plan 1-2nd Month Sophia 3rd Month Instantcert 4th Month Study.com 5-6th Month UMPI Term Considering TESU, COSC now have the 30RA requirement, it doesn't make sense to go through them for a business/general studies degree anymore unless you have transfer credits.

I did it all in 7 months, but, if I would've took Bio at study.com or something I could've probably done it in 5! I also took breaks on weekends and took a month off. There are plenty of people who would not be disciplined enough, or have the time in their schedule, to do a competency-based degree. I was one of those people. I was raising young kids when I started this, with a husband who traveled. There is just no way I could find the time to do courses at this accelerated pace (and it took me 7 years from 2011 when I found this forum and did my first courses, to complete my degree at TESU). I was able to take advantage of every free thing that came up, which wasn't often, but came about enough to keep my costs down. But coming up with even $100 at times was not an option. It took me quite a while to save up enough to pay for CLEP's and TECEP's and CC courses, etc. Not to mention the capstone (there was no RW or 3cr Cornerstone at the time). Anyway, this plan is not for everyone, not by a long shot. But I love that someone was able to do it!

I believe that people are a lot stronger than they think they are, and the human mind is very powerful. If someone that was reading this post was thinking about starting college, I would tell them to stop thinking/planning and just go to Sophia.org RIGHT NOW and take the free 1st lessons for courses. After you complete the first challenge, you now have hard data to use to estimate how long it would take you to complete the course. Take the time it took you to complete Challenge #1 X the Total Challenges + add 1hr for each milestone exam = Total est time to complete the course. You can go faster by watching videos at 2x speed or just reading the text. The Pdfs are free to download so you are free to read them which most courses you can read through in under 3 hours. It's hard to describe, but you can feel it in your bones that you are going to succeed in your college journey at some point after you complete several courses. Whether you do UMPI in 1, 2, or 3 terms, at the slowest pace you would still be going 4 times faster than most people at a traditional brick and mortar college. That all can be done while working a full-time job, with family obligations, or even while traveling.

Sophia for 1-2 months $158 Instant Cert for a month about $60ish Study.com for a month about $200 $338 for the above ^. Which you're going to do for TESU anyways, plus then go to Tel learning or ASU and spend thousands more to get the 30 RAs. But, with that $338 you can finish off your remainder at UMPI at roughly 1 class a month, if you only have 30ish left to finish after the above, that's $1400 a session (two months) which will come to only $7000 a month. $7338 just by doing a casual normal snail pace too. UMPI is super freaken competitive when it comes to CBE degrees. Dr. Ashkir DHA, MBA, MAOL, PMP, GARA
