The end of my journey with Sophia
#1
I've taken all the classes Sophia offers except:
Introduction to College Mathematics (the only one that doesn’t have touchstones)
College Readiness
IT Career Exploration
Communication at Work
Discover the Writer in You
Foundations of English Composition
The Power of Persuasion
Approaches to Studying Religions
Introduction to College Mathematics
Preparing for the Future of Work
Taking Charge of Your Economic Future
Topics in U.S. History

I was thinking about banging out the intro to college math for the hell of it, but do you think anything else is worthwhile? I have the subscription til the 30th, but I’m working on other courses and more than full-time work.

Just curious what everyone’s opinions are.

I recommend Americans at least download the PDFs for "Taking Charge of Your Economic Future" because there is a lot of good information in there. If you do take it, the Touchstones only take about 20 minutes each, if that. Depending on what school you're going to, Communication at Work may be worthwhile. The Touchstone should only take 10-20 minutes to finish. If you've already done both Stats and College Algebra, I wouldn't bother with College Math unless you need the extra math credit for some reason, such as to get a Math AOE for Pierpont.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Pierpont is already complete with IT AOE (I made it in time for the may graduation!!)
I'm working with TESU right now, but I really don't like them cutting down on SDC
I've been talking with someone from Purdue and I may get enough extra credit for my certs to make up for changing schools, but IDK where I'm goingyet.

Topics in US History might be interesting. I haven’t taken it yet, so I don’t know for sure.

Congratulations on your Pierpont degree!

If you do switch to PUG, there is an IT degree plan you can follow.

https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/PU...egree_Plan

Completing in 2 terms (6 months) is possible if you max in the credit transfers since you'll only have 8 courses to do.

We recently had a student do 5+ courses in a term:

Study.com – Get 10% Off: https://altcredit.click/study10

Degrees: BA Comp Sci; BS Business Admin (CIS); AS Nat Sci & Math — TESU (4.0 GPA)
Certs: Google (IT Support, Digital Marketing, Proj Mgmt); W3Schools PHP

You have 3 main options: UMPI for a quick BAS with a minor concentration of your choice and go for a Masters right after.
Take your time and go for a PUG IT degree with some concentration as well, if you decide to, go for the Masters after also.
Your last choice should be TESU as it may take you the longest time, depending on the degree you're going for.
Study.com Offer https://bit.ly/3RTJ3I9

Pre-Med Online, MSc Biomedical Sciences (Starting Jan 2026)
In Progress: UoPeople BS Health Science

Completed: UMPI BAS & MAOL (2025)
TESU ASNSM Biology, BSBA (ACBSP Accredited 2017)

The degree I was going for was LevelUP's double at TESU and I don't think such a thing is as doable at PUG.

TYVM for the suggestion, Communication at Work was quick and easy, might not be useful, but it can't hurt.
