The application said that the transcripts weren't needed due to visiting student status. It skipped over that section entirely! That is super annoying.

I know it. I’m just sending in two universities to get 24+ credits. The person sending the e-mail may not be super familiar with the free program, so they may be wrong. I’m doing it just in case. It is very frustrating, though.

Free RA credit. Just keep repeating the mantra, lol.

Me neither. Not a "send in transcripts" nor "you're good to go". I'm not super disappointed since I already have a lot going on right now as it is, but I kind of am disappointed they didn't at least email with yes/no/why not.

I haven't heard from them too. I sent an email asking about the status of my application today and they responded. That's what I got:

"I will be happy to help! Can you please provide your full name and date of birth on the application? Also, did you submit your official transcripts? An admissions decision can’t be made without evaluating student’s academic record."

Ah well, I thought I was the only one having issues with this registration. They do require transcripts even for this freebie. If it's too much trouble for them, I'll just skip this one. I've got so many freebies this month it's not even funny! Let me see now...

Coursera, Sophia, Ivy Tech, Purdue, Warner, Tusculum, and XAMK (Video Game course). I wonder if I missed something, hmm... If I missed a freebie or those affordable executive certificates from FAU or FIU, please tell me, I wouldn't mind paying for furthering my education...

Yeah, if they want transcripts (which the application did NOT say to do), the cost of sending transcripts back and forth would be more than the cost of picking up the government class I was going to take with them from InstantCert instead.

This was in the email sent to me:
'After submitting your application, and once we’ve received all of your application materials, your admissions counselor will contact you within 2-3 weeks.'

2-3 weeks of response time would leave most of us well past the deadline for Summer II. I dont even have my high school transcripts on hand, so I'm giving this one a miss. Like bjcheung77, I have enough on my plate right now - though the Am Fed Gov't course would've been super interesting.

I would take a pass, but I needed the RA Am Gov credit. UMPI only takes 30 alternative credits, so I have to plan them pretty well.

I’ll pay 8 bucks and have my two transcripts sent and I’ll see what happens.

I didn’t even look, does anyone know if this is a synchronous or asynchronous class? Catching the lecture every week at 8pm for Purdue Global is killing me. I don’t know if I can do that for two courses.
