Hey all, excited to be a part of the forum!
Just had a quick question with regard to UMPI's GEC requirements:
Would Sophia's U.S. Government class work for both 1C and 5E? I've read through the plans, roadmap, and transfer equivalents table but have been unable to draw a clear conclusion.
My motivation here is to skip workplace communication or public speaking if possible, so I'm wondering if taking U.S. Govt would negate the requirement for those classes.

American Government will fulfill 1C and 5E.
You will need an additional 3 credits to reach the minimum 40 credits required.
There are several options available, such as Intro to Psychology or Ancient Greek Philosophers
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience: CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

I also was looking to skip out of any style of public speaking, but grabbing an easy credit for that kind of communication course, like workplace communication, is a good idea. While your degree program might not require that class specifically, there are likely some other classes that will require a speaking component and the sophia one is graded extremely easily based on what ive experienced and read from others
