UMPI questions!
#11
Strayer will request transcripts on your behalf. It's the first and only time I've seen that. Otherwise, expect to pay for transcripts to be sent.

When I applied to UMPI there was a form available on the Your Pace website that you could fill out by which they would request your transcripts for you at no cost to you. I sent it in and was told that they no longer do this at UMPI, had to request my own transcripts (and pay for them). Last I looked, the form is still available on the UMPI website, but don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t work. At least, don’t feel like you weren’t warned...

Some for-profits will request transcripts for you and for free as well, it all depends on the school, they want your business and many also have internal evaluation services for international students. I mean, they want to be the "one stop shop" for your educational goals and offer those all "in-house"... again, this is for mainly for-profit schools, other than those, the majority will require you to request transcripts and pay for it yourself.

I have not run across any college that will requests transcripts for you and definitely not for free. In my experience, the enrollment counselors will send you an email with links to the electronic services for the colleges you need transcripts from or the links directly from the college's website. I know for a fact that UMPI requires you to request and pay for the official transcripts to be sent to them.

Oh. I've run across 3 or 4 that did, but it could be mostly for-profit schools.
