After applying to UMPI, what is the process like? I setup my Maine Street account and have transferred all of my college credit in except for what I'm currently working on through SDC. When will I get a review of my transferred in credits? Is there an ability to see when my transcripts have been viewed? Application deadline is 2/23 for the Spring II session so will it be after that if I know that I got in?

It will take a few weeks for your transcripts to be processed. Once they are, you will see the transfer credit on MaineStreet. Several weeks later, you'll get an envelope in the mail with bright orange paper showing your transfer credit.
You will need to apply before the deadline. I would recommend 3-4 weeks before the deadline because you have transfer credit and that has been taking a few weeks to be processed. You can apply and continue to take courses on Sophia or Study without any problems. You'll just send an updated transcript once you complete the courses you're taking.

Is it possible not to enroll in any program until the maximum allowed 90 credits are transferred?

Yes you can, but I would recommend applying, sending in all your transcripts, and verifying you're accepted a couple weeks before the application deadline. We've had reports that prospective students fell through the cracks for a session and these people applied as early as two months before application closed for that session.

Not sure where you're getting this from. You don't need any transfer credit to apply to UMPI. Plenty of people attend UMPI and complete all 120 credits at UMPI. |
