That's a pretty good start. The Gen Ed stuff you can test out of. here's what I recommend for the Area of Study:
LL
Anatomy & Physiology I and II 8 credits 200 level already completed
Chemistry 4 credits 100 level already completed
Environment and Humanity DSST 3 credits 200 level
UL
Management Info Systems DSST 3 credits
Environmental Science course (actual title escapes me) TESC 6 credits
For the remaining 8 credits, take 2 UL courses in Biology at Empire State College.
Maybe someone should explain FEMA credits to the OP- I am sure 27 free credits will alter her perspective.
OP- I didn't notice any English Comp on your transcript. I recommended looking into that CLEP exam as your first step- TESC will probably require the essay version.
I would love to know more. I was looking at this degree since I seem to have the most transferrable credits here and there are 27 allowable free credits.

[/INDENT]You could possibly leverage some of the nursing credits under the Learner-Designed Area of Study. Wouldn't hurt to check into it? You would then have the best of both worlds in one business degree.

Awesome idea! So perhaps I can ask them if they would accept all my credits? I wish there was a darn number we could call and just speak to someone. Frustrating.:reddevil:

Call the number on your acad eval if you need to speak with advising, but for something like this I would make a 30min phone appt to discuss with a BSBA advisor. There is a process for the approval of the learner designed area of study. And so far as accepting all your credits? I have no idea, but if you have 18 UL Nursing/Medical credits they may be able to fit in that area. Or at least use a few instead of them just dropping to other or free electives? Just a thought.

Thanks. Ugh I am just so overwhelmed and confused now. So would I actually have to go take a long 12-16 week course to complete all the other UL courses? Are there any degrees through TESC that you can practically test out of completely? I appreciate all your help but feel overwhelmed again. I thought I was getting the hang of it..guess I'm still a newbie.

(Borrowing from previous posters)
Not including Gen Ed credits that you need
Primarily testing out you could do this.....
BSBA (General Business)
Pre-requisites
Business Communication (3) Straighterline
Macroeconomics (3) CLEP
Microeconomics (3) CLEP
Precalculus (3) CLEP
A. Business Core 27 Credits
Business Law (3) CLEP
Intro to Computers (3) CLEP
Principles of Financial Accounting (3) CLEP or DSST
Principles of Managerial Accounting (3) Straighterline
Principles of Finance (3) DSST
Introduction to Marketing (3) CLEP
Business Ethics in Society (3) DSST
Business Policy (3) TECEP
Principles of Management (3) CLEP
B. Area of Study: General Business 18 hours
Management Information Systems (3) DSST MIS
Organizational Behavior (3) DSST
Human Resource Management (3) DSST
Business Law II (3) DSST
Money & Banking (3) DSST
Managerial Accounting (3) Straighterline
C. Business Electives
Introduction to Supervision (3) DSST
Business Mathmatics (3) DSST
Introduction to Business (3) DSST
or taking 4 courses you could do this.....
Natural Science/Math
Global Environmental Science (6UL) TESC course
Biological Aspects of Aging (3UL) TESC course
Liberal Arts Capstone (3UL) TESC course
(1) Upper level courses from Empire State or another college (3UL) -or- Network Technology TECEP -or- other TESC Computer Science UL course
Management Information System (3UL) DSST
Environment and Humanity (3) DSST
Anatomy & Physiology I (3) Straighterline
Anatomy & Physiology II (3) Straighterline
(other 6 credits already done)
So are you better prepared to test out of 19 subjects and take 3 Straighterline self-paced courses or test out of 2 subjects, take 3 (relatively easy) TESC courses, 1 UL course from another college and 2 Straighterline self-paced courses ? (not including any GenEd/Free Elective credits that would still need to be completed)
This or That....The Choice is Yours!!! Do da dippity!!!

Quick Q. Why do you recommend the Bio class be taken via Empire? Others have recommended this as well.
Also, what about the Environmental class. Is there a reason you say to take at TESC? Just asking, as I am sure there's a defining force!
