UoPeople Bachelor Degree Requirements - Gen Ed, Electives, Major
#1
University of The People recently obtained RA and they've kept their tuition free model, the fees seem to be the same and haven't changed since then.  Prospective students are enrolling and wondering about the alternative providers to use in order to complete their degree within cost, time, and to max their credit transfers...

An example is using Study.com to max those alternative credits for transfer, if you completed 6 courses in one month using the $95 plan, that’s just about $15 per course. Way below the cost of most providers, and you’re earning real, transferable college credit. Study.com just rolled out a major update: No more unnecessary quizzes, no proctoring, no busywork, 100% online and self-paced, and new pricing models.

College Starter – $95/month: Unlimited courses (in a month), enroll in 2 at time (lower division)
College Saver – $235/month: Access to all upper + lower division, enroll in 3 courses at a time, with no limit on how many you can take in a month

Here’s the link I’ve been using to explore more: https://bit.ly/3RTJ3I9

What do you think of the changes? It seems like Study.com is making things cheaper, easier, faster for students...

Hey,
what do you think about Sophia? Can we do courses from there and save like 2–3 years at UoPeople? If yes, that’s awesome — but if not, do you know any other good options besides Study.com?

Also, do NCCRS-approved courses work for transfer? I just saw a platform offering NCCRS-approved college-level courses for around $89/month with access to 70+ courses. Sounds pretty good, but I’m not sure how legit it is. Would appreciate your take on it! Thanks

Look on the UoPeople subReddit for a list of Sophia courses that transfer.

Not sure about their policy on NCCRS. I would check their online catalog.
