WGU hasn't ended transfer partnerships or changed its transfer-friendly model. What has changed is that WGU is changing which specific requirements can be met via transfer credit versus completed internally.

• A small number of requirements in certain programs now need to be completed at WGU
  

 
These updates apply to all non-WGU transfer sources, not just Study.com.

Grace period (important for current planners)
 
There is a grace period for students already planning coursework under the prior articulation:

• Courses must be completed by February 28
  
• An official Study.com transcript must be received by WGU no later than March 31
  
• If both of those conditions are met, the courses will be evaluated under the previous transfer guidelines

Several technology programs now require a small number of foundational or advanced courses to be completed at WGU.

With all the extra work now required for computer science, I would recommend a software engineering degree over computer science.

When I applied to WGU they accepted less than half of my transfer credit. Other universities accepted 80-90%. WGU is not transfer friendly in my experience.

WGU allows a max of 75% of credit towards their Bachelors degrees, it's just that most of the classes are not general education or electives, they have some selective classes that can't be transferred in. That said, it's best to try and map all classes that can transfer over with various ACE partners on their partners.wgu.edu page, Study.com is one of them (and it's not a restriction on Study.com side of things), but they also partner with Sophia.org, StraighterLine and so on.
