Question About Straighterline Exams
#1
Hi, long time lurker here. Registered for all my TECEPs and now about to pay for Straighterlines to complete the BSBA in gen management. I had a question regarding Straighterline. For the exams you take is there a time limit? I'm not talking about the final proctor but the exams you take throughout the course. I just received all the textbooks for the courses I'm gonna register for and now I'm thinking if there is a time limit I should probably get ebooks.
Thanks for any response!

There are time limit on all the tests. It's usually one hour for shorter tests and two hours for longer and final tests.
I am finding the time limits are quite generous. Ebooks have the advantage of being searchable which is very handy for open book tests.

As others have said the time limit varies with the course and the amount of questions on a particular exam/quiz. I have taken quite a few recently and some are easier than others to look up on paper/ebook. I have found myself on an odd question wishing it was easier to get to the glossary (I don't like Chegg's platform for ebooks) whereas other times using the search would have been easier than flicking through a book.

I would say don't worry about it either way, if you are even remotely comfortable with the material you should be fine with whichever version of the book you go with. The only time I almost ran out of time on a quiz was when Chegg's software crashed for about 5 minutes on a short quiz!

Thanks guys for your responses. I signed up yesterday for my first two course. Accounting i and ii. Just finished the quizzes for both and scheduled proctor for Wednesday. I did end up using the Ebook more than the hard copies. Have a 78 pre final exam for accounting i and a 67.9 on ii.
