I need to take one of the computer information systems clep/dsst. Which one would be easier to pass? Specifically, the school I am going to requires a 65 on the CLEP version to receive credit, but the minimum is required for DSST. That should make my decision for me I know but was just curious what others thought. I am not an IT person, I have used computers since the PC because popular in the 90's. Computer language is not something I am familiar with either. I am asking because I want to take this on Tuesday, which means I will take it cold. I'm also taking A/I Lit CLEP too. I have not taken a DSST before but I have heard that its only 4 options compared to 5 on the clep. Any thoughts from the vets?

Based on forum feedback, I chose DSST over Clep. I passed with 466 last week.

I took the DSST and enjoyed it. I'm not sure why you think you would have to take the test cold though. It's Saturday and you'll be taking it Tuesday - that gives you plenty of time to review the IC cards and the forum feedback!
A&I Lit won't require much if any study, just make sure you know your literary terms.

Just by being able to use a computer you can probably pass the DSST.

Thinking I am going to go with the DSST based on forum reviews. The reason for the lack of study time is I have to work this weekend and the only study time I will have is Monday, so it will be a cram session for this one and A/I Literature. Thanks for the reviews.

That's about what I got on the first petersons test I took... when I took the real thing I was done in 25 minutes and scored a 444 so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

The CLEP was fairly straight forward. I took it cold a couple of years ago and got a 72. I am in the IT industry so that probably helped, but the test was real straight forward.
