Help Me Plan Out My Bachelors for Criminal Justice at TESU
#11
DBRENNAN118 Wrote:Also, the Ethics in America DSST is not that bad, IMO (it was my highest DSST score). You could opt for this instead of the 2 CR class and dealing with the exemption request.

For the record, you don't have to make a request, they give you a waiver automatically.

Regarding writing papers; even if you chose a SL or Saylor course (or any other course) instead of an exam, none of those require writing papers (except for English Comp). Everything is exam-based. At SL and Sophia, you get a cumulative grade, based on several exams, a midterm, etc. For JumpCourse, study.com, etc., you take the course, and quizzes, but only the final exam counts for your score. At SL, you can actually go look at the grading criteria and see how many exams you have to take for each course. For instance, American Government has 4 exams, a midterm and a final. Microeconomics on the other hand, has 24 exams, a midterm, and a final.

This is an updated degree plan I've made since I can't edit my first post anymore. If I were you, I would take all of the GE and Free Electives, and then start working your way through the CJ courses that you know for sure will work (Intro to CJ, Intro to Law Enforcement, etc.). Then, when you're ready, you can transfer everything in, and get pre-approved on the courses you're not sure of.

I'm guessing most of the ones on there will work. Let us know how it goes as you get closer, I want to know what all those CJ courses transfer in as (or even if they won't work).

Good luck!

Thanks. That's exactly what I was thinking as well. Do everything we know will transfer in, then enroll and find out if those other CJ courses work. Hopefully they do.
