Who transfers in old computer science credits?

Here are the requirements for a BSBA in Computer Information Systems at TESU: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/Current/...on-Systems

BA in Mathematics, which might not have a currency requirement: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/Current/...athematics

The co-ops will probably be free electives.
Ongoing: MLIS

June 2022, Thomas Edison State University (TESU): Second degree - BA in Computer Science + ASNSM in Mathematics + Cert. in CIS + Cert. in Operations Mgmt.
e-Packs: Computer Concepts; Industrial Psych.
Guided Study: Comp. Architecture
Online: Intro. to PLA; Database Mgmt.; Software Eng.; Data Structures; Liberal Arts Capstone; DSI-610 (Statistics.com)

May 2019, a residential, RA institution: BA in Political Science and Educational Studies
Relevant equivalencies: MAT-321; MAT-431; STA-315

Even the computer science courses from 2010 are not valid anymore. Only basic principles are the same...
I know many guys who earned computer science degree in 1980's but they don't make living from programming.
Back then, we didn't have Java, Python, PHP, C++, etc...

Legit! Though I personally took C++ in 1999!

It seems like TESU Computer Science is the best fit.

Or you could do the BSBA CIS or both.

I wouldn't worry about the certificates you got because it looks like all your free electives would be filled from what you already took in college, so there is no place for the certs.

I don't think there's a limit on age in the TESU BACS degree because it's a BA rather than a BS.  Like, I know you can have Calculus from 25 years ago and it will work.  There's never been a currency requirement there that I've seen.

I show that you only need 38cr to get your BACS:
Oral Comm
Diversity
Ethics
Humanities/History
1 add'l Humanities/History/SocSci course
COMPSCI 201: Data Structures & Algorithms
MATH 108: Discrete Math
COMPSCI 306: Computer Architecture
BUS 303: Management Info Systems
COMPSCI 302: Systems Analysis & Design

In my opinion, due to the questions about TESU's possible squashing of Study.com CS courses, this is what you should do:
1) apply at TESU and send your transcripts
2) go take those UL courses at Study.com ASAP (like, start today); send each one in as you complete it
 - make sure you finish these within a month
3) then take the 2 LL ones; send them to TESU before July 1
4) then go take the 5 GE courses needed (either from Study.com or Sophia)

While you're doing the Study.com courses, TESU will be doing your eval, and you can come back here with the info and show us.  If for whatever reason they don't take some of your courses, you can make arrangements to take the rest at Study.com.  But I don't think you'll have to do that.

The other thing is, if you're limited on which courses to bring in, you want to maximize that - and so you'll want to make sure they bring in your 2 UL courses, and Calc III.

But we definitely need to see what everything comes in as.

UMPI will probably accept them as general electives! I transferred in a few classes that were over 20 years old including a couple computer courses. They were part of my BLS general electives.

You can try TESU for a Computer Science, but if you're looking for cheap, easy, fast and then ladder up to one of the Applied Computer Science degrees I mentioned in the graduate sub forum, *ANY DEGREE* will do! Your hubby will already have the main prerequisites to these public/state research universities that have an online presence... I suggest just finishing quickly and do the UMPI BLS MIS, if he wants, add some certs as he most likely has years of experience, he'll hit my usual trifecta of recommendations: Certs, Degree, Experience.
